STB speaker list for public hearing on grain transport regulations

The Surface Transportation Board today announced the speakers, their affiliations, and their allotted speaking times for the Board’s June 10, 2015 public hearing, in Rail Transportation of Grain, Rate Regulation Review, Docket No. EP 665 (Sub-No. 1), to explore the issue of making the Board’s rate-case process more accessible to railroad shippers of grain.

On May 8, 2015, the Board announced its scheduling of the June 10 hearing, to begin at 9:30 a.m., at its Washington, D.C. headquarters in the Patriots Plaza I building, 395 E Street, S.W. (entrance on E Street closest to the intersection 4th and E Streets, S.W.), to further examine issues related to the accessibility of rate-complaint procedures for grain shippers, and to provide interested persons and parties the opportunity to comment on modifications to existing procedures and alternative rate-relief methodologies proposed during the public comment period.

The Board’s decision today in EP 665 (Sub-No. 1) announcing the hearing’s speakers,providing instructions to speakers intending to make computer presentations, and providing public-attendance instructions (concerning hearing-room access, security screening, and hearing-room passes) may be viewed and downloaded at the STB’s website,www.stb.dot.gov, under “E-LIBRARY / Decisions & Notices / 06/04/2015.” A live video broadcast of the hearing will be available via the Board’s website, under “Information Center: / Webcast / Live Video” on the home page.
