SynchroNet Intermodal Services, Inc. (SIS) Appoints SOX Logistics International As Exclusive Canadian Representatives

Pleasanton, CA – October 28, 2009 – SynchroNet Intermodal Services, Inc. (SIS) today announced that SOX Logistics International is the exclusive Canadian representative for the company’s North American services. SIS designs, manages and executes the most efficient web-based system for ocean carriers, third parties (IMCs, NVOCCs, freight forwarders, leasing companies and traders) and truckers, to meet the objective for container re-use throughout the United States and Canada. Ramp-to-ramp stack train transportation, capacity availability, customized asset management services and online equipment visibility services are offered through this system to reduce empty rail repositioning expenses, trucking costs, maintenance and repair management and container-yard handling expenses for customers with operations in the US and Canada.

“SIS allows customers to efficiently execute import-to-export street turns, import-to-US or Canadian domestic street turns and location specific trucker-initiated match backs,” said Marc DiNapoli, managing director of SIS. “The street re-use potential is one of the few underutilized opportunities customers have available to control costs and maintain or increase margins. We are eager to offer these more environmentally friendly services in Canada through our agreement with SOX Logistics International.”

“Through the services that SIS offers, we have flexibility to be cost competitive on long-haul deliveries and provide important long-term alternatives to road transportation,” said Steve Luciani, managing partner of SOX Logistics International. “With ever increasing challenges of integrated asset and supply chain management, customers are looking for on-time performance, reduction of risk and consistent capacity. SIS’ stack-train and street-turn services efficiently integrate within the supply chain. The services are a perfect fit with the customer’s requirements for available assets and the need for cost-effective repositioning of equipment.”
