T. Parker Host, Inc. Announces U.S. Gulf Coast Presence
T. Parker Host, Inc. is pleased to announce their official expansion into the U.S. Gulf with offices in Houston, New Orleans, Mobile and Tampa. On September 7th, T. Parker Host, Inc. purchased all outstanding shares of NSA Agencies, Inc. (successor to Navios Ship Agency). T. Parker Host, Inc., founded in 1923, operates on the Eastern Seaboard from the Delaware River to Jacksonville; and now via NSA Agencies, Inc., in the U.S. Gulf from Tampa to Brownsville, providing professional and competitive service to a wide range of maritime interests.
NSA Agencies, Inc., was founded in 1981 and has provided full agency and operational services for its principals, and will now become part of the T. Parker Host family of businesses.
George Duffy has led NSA for over 30 years, and T. Parker Host, Inc. has retained George along with the rest of the existing management team and their employees.
Chris Kitsos, VP of Operations at NSA stated that this agreement makes us a stronger firm. It will be business as usual for our current principals; we're still going to take care of their ships the NSA way, but with additional resources at our disposal...it’s all positive stuff …a real win/win.
NSA will be supported by the management team at T. Parker Host, Inc. and Adam Anderson will succeed George Duffy as President, but remain based in Norfolk, VA. George will remain a key part of NSA as President Emeritus. Adam Anderson stated, Mr. Duffy is and will continue to be a champion for the Mississippi River and overall trade in the Gulf, as well as continue to provide specialized services to select principals for NSA. George put himself and NSA at the forefront of developing maritime policy, leading trade organizations, and working with all levels of government to benefit maritime interests nationwide including ship owners, agents, inland and offshore operators. There is only one George Duffy, and we realize he's ready to begin a new chapter in his life; we're honored he chose to work with Host as he scales back his day to day responsibilities.
