The 9th annual Port of New York-New Jersey Port Industry Day will be held on Monday, October 26, at the Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum in New York City.

The focus of this year's conference is how the Port is COMPETING FOR CARGO not only in today's market but also in anticipation of the expected increase in cargo which will come about after the Panama Canal expansion is completed in 2014. Everyone who has a stake in international trade and commerce should plan to attend this important event. Among the topics to be discussed are infrastructure enhancements, terminal investments, harbor trucking, navigational issues and goods movement initiatives.

Congressman Jerry Nadler will be the welcoming speaker.

Port Industry Day will begin at 8 AM with a continental breakfast on the Intrepid's hangar deck. At 9 AM, the business program will begin. The half-day session will conclude at approximately 12:30 and will be followed by a festive luncheon and networking opportunity. The remainder of the afternoon will be devoted to touring the Intrepid and seeing its exciting sea, air and space exhibits.

The Intrepid will be closed to the public all day for the exclusive use of Port Industry Day attendees. This is a unique opportunity for our maritime and transportation industry. Our friends at the Intrepid are also allowing us to display the banners of our conference sponsors on the Intrepid's hangar deck. So if you would like your company's banner to hang in this historic site, sign on to be a sponsor! Other exciting sponsorship opportunities, like showing your company video, are also available. See the attached registration form for details on sponsorship, exhibits and attendance.

To comply with the Intrepid's security requirements, all attendees must be pre-registered.

So be sure to get your registration form in as soon as possible. This is an event you will not want to miss!
