The Beaujolais Nouveau, an inexhaustible tradition…
Year after year the Beaujolais Nouveau keeps its festive character which gathers so many amateurs, a bit everywhere all around the world, every third Thursday of November — because such a tradition has to perpetuate —.
This year again AF-KL Cargo will have largely contributed to its success by carrying all over the world large quantities of this wine in the bellies of its passengers aircrafts and on board of its regular full freighters, so that the precious liquid will be on time on the tables on Thursday the 17th of November.
Japan, traditionally the largest amateur of this wine, has concentrated the majority of the quantities carried, since 73% of the total tonnage is bound towards this country. But Asia in general with 11%, as well as North America with 11% also, are not left out either.
All together it is no less than 1400 tons which have been carried, mostly from Paris-CDG (69%) and from Amsterdam-Schiphol (31%), on board the regular flights of Air France and KLM towards the whole world, in order to satisfy the expectations of the many amateurs of this so peculiar wine.
