The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers Hosts “Railroading 2011” Meeting July 11-12, Lake Geneva, WI
Lake Geneva, Wisconsin — May 10, 2011 (James Street Media Services)—The Midwest Association of Rail Shippers (MARS), one of five regional associations under the umbrella of the North American Rail Shippers Association, will host a two-day meeting on Monday and Tuesday, July 11–12, 2011 at the Grand Geneva Resort in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This will be the group’s 237th meeting.
“MARS has a long and distinguished history, starting in 1924, during which we have brought together railroads, shippers, receivers, car services and government leaders to exchange ideas for the benefit of our industry,” said MARS president Randy Worth. “We welcome everyone with an interest to join us for the meeting and our Scholarship Outing.”
The theme of the 2011 July meeting is “Railroading 2011, Transitioning to the New Normal.” Justine Fisher, vice president high yield research, Goldman Sachs, will address the group, along with other top-level speakers.
Monday’s schedule features the traditional Scholarship Outing and reception. A full-day business meeting will follow on Tuesday.
