Cincinnati — Total Quality Logistics is this year’s recipient of the Women’s Sports Business Award presented by the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Women’s Sports Association. The Women’s Sports Association recognizes the outstanding accomplishments of local female athletes and those who support them.

TQL has been a sponsor of the Women’s Crosstown Shootout for five years running, providing more than 5,000 free tickets to local girls’ sports teams in grades K-8. TQL also rewards these young athletes for their hard work and commitment by giving away thousands of dollars in custom uniform vouchers at the Crosstown Shootout’s halftime show. For some of these community teams, it’s the first time they have ever had official uniforms.

“It’s inspiring for the girls to watch successful women athletes compete on a major stage,” said TQL Executive Vice President, Kerry Byrne. “We hope it encourages them to stick with their sport, whatever it is. Sports teach valuable skills like teamwork, focus and drive that will serve these young ladies far beyond their school years. We should know. These are the very skills that propel our top performers at TQL.”

TQL will continue to support the Women’s Crosstown Shootout, as well as other student athletes across Cincinnati. TQL sponsors numerous community races, such as the GA 5K and the Forest Hills 5K. TQL also announced a major donation to its founders’ high school alma mater, McNicholas High School, to help build a new outdoor athletic complex and stadium for its students.

“TQL is proud to shine a light on women in sports and is honored to be part of an event that recognizes athletes in a meaningful way,” said Byrne.

The Women’s Sports Association’s 19th annual awards dinner is this evening, April 23, at the Savannah Center in West Chester, Ohio.
