Washington, DC, April 20, 2011: Planners of an international trade conference in June this year are forecasting sell-out attendance due to an unusually high level of access to policymakers overseeing U.S. trade. AAEI’s 90th Annual Conference and Expo will offer trade practitioners a chance to meet with top U.S. government officials as the U.S. works toward its ambitious export reform and trade goals.

The government’s change agents participating in the conference include Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, who will be a Keynote speaker at the event from June 5-7, 2011 in New York City. Other speakers include BIS Under Secretary Eric Hirschhorn, Brian Nilsson, Chair the White House Export Control Reform Task Force and CPSC General Attorney Jeremy Baskin.

“One of the reasons I continue to support, and advocate membership in, AAEI is because of these conferences, says Avery Dennison’s Lori Goldberg, co-chair of this year’s AAEI Annual Conference and Expo planning committee. The Conference provides a venue for instant contact with trade colleagues and government officials, offers a forum where we can pull together, speak with one voice, to advocate policy changes in Washington that help facilitate legitimate trade, while protecting the security and intellectual property of our nation.

Attendees will also get the latest trade developments, updates on U.S. and key international market regulations, as well as CLE/CCS credits.

AAEI is the premier trade organization representing those immediately engaged in and directly impacted by developments pertaining to international trade. We are recognized as technical experts regarding the day-to-day facilitation of trade.
