Trade Tech, Inc. Signs a Multi-Year Contract with IDS Logistics

JOC Staff |
BELLEVUE, Washington – Trade Tech, an integrated global application service provider for the transportation and logistics industry, announced today that it has signed a multi-year contract with IDS Logistics, a leading integrated distribution and logistics services provider specializing in value-chain logistics throughout Asia, North America and the United Kingdom.

The new contract includes Trade Tech’s fully integrated suite of applications designed to completely manage supply chain, including rate management, transportation operations, PO management and visibility, accounting and all cargo security requirements. The applications encompass Trade Tech’s proprietary and web-based solutions including Trade Manager™ (including all connections with various Customs Systems: AMS, ACI, ISF, Mexico AMS and future EU ENS), Trade Rates™, Trade Chain™ (PO management), Trade Cash™ and a connection to Smart Border as an ABI provider.

Trade Tech was awarded the contract with IDS Logistics after a competitive RFP process. “We offer a complete and entirely integrated application that addresses all aspects of rate management, transportation operations, PO management, accounting and security in a single source application,” said Bryn Heimbeck, Trade Tech’s president.

“I am gratified that IDS recognizes our ERP solution as a major advantage for its future growth,” said Heimbeck. “IDS and its global team clearly understand that an easily implemented collaborative platform in today’s highly competitive environment is essential to attracting new business. With our solution, everything is located in a single application with data flowing from one application to the next. We offer a superior end-to-end global operating system including PO management for a complete solution which is very different from an outdated documentation system or stand-alone application.”

“What’s more, as an application service provider (ASP), our solution is easy to integrate with a growing company. IDS projects a tripling of business in the next 3-5 years, and with our system, training will be done expeditiously and economically by adding partners instantly into the supply chain as the movement of goods shifts from one entity to another.

Trade Tech has offices located throughout Asia, Europe and the US. “This makes a big difference for our customers -- we work in their languages, their cultures and their time zones,” said Heimbeck. “When implementing and operating in a very complex environment like international shipping, users will always need support and help along the way.”
