Traffic Club of Chicago Annual Dinner on May 16, 2013 Nearing Sell-Out
CHICAGO — With just one week to go before The Traffic Club of Chicago’s 106th Annual Dinner on Thursday, May 16, more than 800 people have already made reservations. But, there is still time to get the final tickets for this much-anticipated event.
The featured speaker is Don Mann, a former U.S. Navy SEAL and a member of SEAL Team Six. Mann is the author of the best-selling book, “Inside SEAL Team Six: My Life and Missions with America’s Elite Warriors.”
In addition to the dinner program, those attending will have the opportunity to network with executives and representatives from some of the top companies in the transportation and logistics industry—including Class 1 railroads, airlines, freight carriers, shippers, and third-party logistics companies.
The dinner will be held from 6–9 p.m. at the Hilton Chicago Hotel in downtown Chicago. The club’s annual golf outing will be held the day before on Wednesday, May 15 at the Cog Hill Golf Club in suburban Lemont.
Traditionally, top transportation executives attend the two events, with many planning high-level meetings around the schedule. Since its founding in 1907, The Traffic Club of Chicago has been the place for shippers, carriers, government officials, and others involved in transportation to work together toward common goals.
