United Arab Shipping Company Expands Global Services

Dubai, UAE – July 1st 2011 - United Arab Shipping Company (UASC) announced today that effective July 1st 2011, all UASC activities in Pakistan will be operated under a new joint venture (JV): “United Arab Shipping Agencies Company Pakistan Pvt. Ltd. (UASAC PAKISTAN)”, established jointly between UASC and the Delta Group who has been representing UASC in Pakistan previously.

UASAC PAKISTAN will become the new shipping agency, taking over the existing activities of Delta Shipping, who has been recognized for delivering excellent service to UASC customers in the past 26 years.

The establishment of UASAC PAKISTAN is part of UASC’s long term growth and regional expansion plans involving the acquisition of local agents and staging for an integrated global operation.

The direct effect of this integration will be witnessed through the optimization of UASC’s services efficiency, security, capacity and competitiveness, while ensuring the delivery of a personalized customer service through dedicated local work force, thus simplifying the customers’ shipping experience and bringing UASC closer to its customer base.

UASAC PAKISTAN will have a strong position within the market making use of UASC’s advanced worldwide systems enabling faster responses from customer service representatives, through direct access to the global UASC data. Pakistan’s market will benefit from the widespread UASC network of services offered on existing and new destinations.

UASAC PAKISTAN will have its head office in Karachi with, initially, branches in Lahore and Faisalabad.
