U.S. Xpress Partners with Wounded Warrior Project as Platinum Sponsor

CHATTANOOGA, TN. – April 18, 2011 – U.S. Xpress Enterprises, a leading provider of transportation services throughout North America, is proud to announce that it has partnered with the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) as a Platinum Sponsor. This partnership represents a $50,000 commitment from U.S. Xpress.

During April and May, one of the ways that U.S. Xpress will show its support for the healing work of Wounded Warrior Project is by donating five dollars for every experienced qualified driver who applies on-line to U.S. Xpress. Additionally, U.S. Xpress will support WWP by sponsoring Soldier Ride Nashville, taking place on September 24, 2011. The WWP Soldier Ride provides rehabilitative cycling opportunities across the country to help wounded warriors restore their physical and emotional well-¬being.

“Through U.S. Xpress’ generous donation, we will be able to continue to provide unique programs that assist warriors and their caregivers,” said Wounded Warrior Project Manager of Strategic Partnerships Brea Kratzert. “Wounded Warrior Project is thrilled about this wonderful partnership and its impact to make this the most successful, well-adjusted generation of veterans in our nation’s history.”

The mission of WWP is to honor and empower warriors and to foster the most successful, well-adjusted generation of wounded warriors in United States history. U.S. Xpress sought to partner with WWP in large part because of the number of drivers and office staff at U.S. Xpress who have previously served in the military.

“We are very proud to be associated with Wounded Warrior Project. You are going to begin to see the WWP logo on our website and throughout our advertising,” said Max Fuller, Co-Chairman and CEO on U.S. Xpress Enterprises. “We are looking forward to building our relationship with WWP. We see this as an opportunity for our entire U.S. Xpress workforce to do something for those who give so much to our country every single day.”

“Beyond U.S. Xpress’ financial contribution to the organization, we believe this partnership will help to create more visibility for Wounded Warrior Project,” said Patrick Quinn, Co-Chairman and President of U.S. Xpress Enterprises. “It is important for this nation to know about the great work of the organization and the resources that are available to our wounded warriors.”
