Staffing the new office are Midwest Regional Project Manager Bryan Fathauer and Project Logistics Coordinators Sybille Ziegler and Steve Ochs. Over that time she has served internationally in Bremen, Germany, and Shanghai, China, and domestically in Chicago and Sedalia, MO. Mr. Ochs joined the UTC staff in 2011 and also has extensive experience in large-scale international resort development and construction logistics. Both report to Fathauer.
Fathauer and the Pittsburgh office in turn report to company Project Director Matt Loll, based in the UTC Project head office in Houston, TX. “Planning for a Pittsburgh office has been underway for some time now,” Loll said, “and we’re pleased to have an experienced professional team in place to serve the needs of area customers and pursue growth opportunities.“
“Opening the Pittsburgh office was a natural choice for us,” Fathauer adds. “We already a have a sizable regional customer base, and new business opportunities in steel mill and industrial project moves, power generation and distribution component logistics, and of course, the Marcellus Oil Shale activities across the region.”
Houston-based Project Division Vice President Marco Poisler adds, “In today’s increasingly global marketplace, more and more of the projects we handle require services from two or more of our offices and often in spots far removed from each other. The Pittsburgh office further strengthens our global office network. Our documented record of excellence, safety, and cost efficiency depends on effective communication and coordination worldwide.
“Our staff is multi-national and multi-lingual. Many have unique and specialized skills ranging from rail, vessel, port, and vehicle engineering, to service as vessel and port engineers and captains. Their detailed knowledge of the local and regional trade, transport and commerce laws and regulations which govern our work is an important asset to us and our customers.”

It opened its own office in Shanghai in 2006, Canada in 2008, Eastern Europe and Australia in 2009, and will open in Russia and Azerbaijan in the near term.
