Kerry Logistics Expands Automotive CBU Facility at Laem Chabang

Thailand - 27 June 2012 - Kerry Logistics, a leading global logistics service provider, has completed the expansion of its automotive Complete Built Units (CBU) facility at the Kerry Logistics Centre Laem Chabang (KLCLC) in Thailand.

An additional 2,968 sq.m of warehouse space is now available, tailor-made to accommodate the storage needs of a leading European luxury vehicle manufacturer. The new warehouse space has a capacity for some 150 vehicles.

“The opening of the expanded facility at KLCLC means that we can now meet growing demand from our customer for quality storage space, top level service and security,” said Kledchai Benjaathonsirikul, Executive Director, Thailand, Kerry Logistics.

KLCLC is located in the Chonburi Free Trade Zone, its total floor area is now 20,000 sq.m. Currently, 80% of clients at the facility are from the automotive sector spanning from spare parts and tyres to finished vehicles.

The expansion is the latest step by Kerry Logistics to develop KLCLC into a major logistics hub for the automotive industry in Thailand.
